About WHAT HUGH KNEW: A tight circle of surfers, college friends and family find themselves transformed when the life of their friend is tragically cut short two weeks before college graduation. The remaining crew launch an annual memorial surf contest that continues to foster deep personal connections more than 37 years later, when myriad forces start to threaten those relationships.
WHAT HUGH KNEW is as an official fiscal sponsorship project of the Global Peace Film Festival (GPFF). Established in 2003, GPFF is a top-rated** 501(c)(3) public charity that produces a highly respected annual film fest in Orlando and also serves as a fully IRS-compliant fiscal sponsor for filmmakers and other social enterprises with mission-aligned projects in search of funds.
