Scott Hirsch, CEO of Media Direct, Explains Google's Ad Credit Plan

Scott O. Hirsch offers insight into Google's plan to provide companies with ad credits

DELRAY BEACH, FL / ACCESSWIRE / May 5, 2020 / Google recently announced that it would offer nearly $350 million in ad credits to business partners the world over. However, there are many companies that either aren't aware of the offer or are unsure of how to qualify for it. Scott O. Hirsch, CEO of Media Direct recently interviewed with Medium to explain what the offer means, who can take advantage of it and what companies should do to make the most of it.

"I was informed that every eligible business will have the ad credit appear in their Google account before May 1st, 2020 and they'll also be notified by email that the credit is available," Hirsch shares. Eligible businesses are those that have been advertising on the platform for the last year. Also, Google is issuing one credit per business regardless of how many accounts they have active. The amount of credit a business receives will depend on how much it has been spending on advertising in the last year, although Scott O. Hirsch noted that he's unsure if Google will put caps setting a maximum limit. At present, it appears that companies will receive a credit equal to one month of Google Ad expenditures; for instance, a business that spends $1,000 a month on Google will get a $1,000 credit. Credits are valid until December 31, 2020.

"We're advising all of our eligible clients to take advantage of it," Hirsch states. "The credit can be used across the Google Ad Network on YouTube, search, and/or display". Hirsch additionally recommends that businesses use Google's best practices for advertising in the COVID-19 era to guide their advertising decisions. For instance, Scott suggests that business owners choose images that home-bound consumers can relate with and create campaigns that give a feeling of unity and coming together. Then on landing pages, clarify store hours and the steps your company is taking to protect customers from the novel coronavirus.

Scott freely admits that there are quite a few things that are still unknown about Google's ad credits. Some portions of the promotion may change moving forward, but the good news is that participants should begin seeing the free credits appearing in their Google accounts this week. We will keep you updated on any additional developments as they become available from Google.

Hirsch is a lifetime entrepreneur that's had extensive success in digital marketing, boxing and retail. He currently serves as the founder and CEO of Media Direct with high profile clients across the nation.
