What is World WellBeing Week? Now in its fifth year, World WellBeing Week returns this week (26-30 June 2023) to celebrate the many aspects of wellbeing, from meaningful, purposeful work to financial security, physical, mental and emotional health, social resilience and empathic corporate and civic leadership, community relations and care for the environment. Wellbeing has never been so important to our lives and livelihoods! The pandemic has revealed a capacity for change, never before thought possible, with people adapting mentally and physically all over the world. It has brought with it different ways of thinking and a new-found resilience. The word on everyone’s lips is ‘wellbeing’. An increasing number of businesses now embrace wellbeing as a strategic priority, and this week it would be great to hear from you all as how you practice and celebrate your own wellbeing..... This week is being celebrated around the globe as World Wellbeing Week. This aims to give people a chance to "reflect on the many aspects of wellbeing, from meaningful, purposeful work to financial security, physical, mental and emotional health, social resilience and empathic corporate and civic leadership, community relations and care for the environment".  That’s a lot to “unpack” - but did any element resonate with you when you first read the previous paragraph? When it comes to wellbeing, we’re often focused on one or two areas, either because it’s something that is a struggle in our current circumstances, or because it’s something we’ve chosen to put a positive focus on and work at improving. The consequence of this is we can either not notice another area where we should be giving ourselves more credit, or of course we can neglect an area.
