Frequently Asked

Why wasn't I contacted by the principal (creditor) prior to this?

Your creditor likely sent you several payment reminders before resorting to our services. According to an internal study we conducted, 87% of payment reminders are simply ignored or intentionally delayed. It's possible that you didn't receive these letters, emails, or calls because you neglected to inform your creditor of any changes to your postal address, email address, or contact number via registered mail.

How can Paidre assist me in resolving my situation?

Our objective is to find the optimal solution for every case. We understand that it can sometimes be challenging to pay off a debt in full immediately, and we are open to your proposals depending on the amount and age of the debt. We strive to find amicable resolutions that consider your unique situation, as well as our client's desire to resolve the case swiftly. Consequently, we assess all available options to settle the debt and propose personalized payment solutions to you. Rest assured, we uphold the confidentiality of your personal data and all the information you provide us.

What payment methods are available to me?

To close the case and prevent further penalties, you must repay the debt in full before the stipulated date. This can be done by transferring the outstanding amount directly to your creditor's designated bank account. The necessary details for this transaction can be found on the case report notice page.

Do I have to answer the emails or calls from the case officer who solicited me?

We can only advise you to respond to our requests. If you can't pay, we are here to accompany you and find solutions together. We are in contact every day with many people who are afraid to answer us but who realize afterwards that they could have done it earlier. We can set up a payment plan (depending on the amount of your debt) that will help you get out of debt.

What happens if I simply choose not to pay?

The case report will remain active indefinitely. Based on instructions from our client (your creditor), we would then take further action. These actions involve submitting your case report to credit rating agencies, which could adversely affect your credit score and employment prospects. Additionally, we would file for small claims in the state court where both parties are to physically attend hearing before a magistrate. Please be aware that your failure to pay may result in your debt being resold to a third party debt collection agency where the dunning process differs entirely.

Can I be contacted again if I haven't been contacted in a long time?

You are being reported because an outstanding balance is still owed to your creditor. In civil claims, as long as there is an outstanding balance, the claim remains due. Depending on your country of jurisdiction, there may be a statue of limitations can only apply when a debt isn't being actively pursued - this is however not the case - as long as the case report status remains active on Paidre, the debt is considered under pursuance.

Who do I transfer the outstanding amount to?

Unlike traditional collection agencies or recovery lawyers, you make repayments directly to your creditor, not to us. When you enter your creditor's bank details, you should see that the bank account holder's name as the legal full name of your creditor.

I have received a formal notice that isn't intended for me, what should I do?

It's unlikely that a formal notice would be sent to the wrong person due to the enhanced verification process. However, if you do receive a formal notice that isn't meant for you, we recommend you contact us as soon as possible to halt any proceedings against you and to demonstrate your good faith by providing us with necessary proofs. If you know the person who is responsible for the debt, you can provide us with their contact information so we can update our records accordingly. Alternatively, you can ask this person to contact us directly, using the case report number for the debt.

What is the difference between a promise to pay and a deferred payment?

A promise to pay gives the debtor a grace period to settle the entire debt by a specific date. On the other hand, a deferred payment allows the debt to be paid off in several monthly installments. For this, Paidre provides a dedicated and secure payment link to be activated by credit card, initiating the payment of the first monthly installment. The payment of the first installment suspends any actions against you until the debt is fully paid. Note that a missed payment will result in the resumption of actions. Full settlement of the debt is the only way to conclude all procedures. A deferred payment plan is only valid if the first monthly payment is made within 48 hours via the dedicated payment link. Failure to activate this link will reactivate any actions against you. It is not possible to settle a debt via deferred payments without activating the payment link within the stipulated 48 hours. Speak with us to be on a deferred payment plan.

I am not able to pay now. Can you give me more time?

A grace period is a payment period that can be granted in view of your situation. It can be granted to you allowing you to settle your debt within a maximum period of 15-30 days during which the procedures are suspended against you. In order to obtain a grace period agreement, you can visit your case report link and click on the button "Acknowledge but repay later", verify that you are the intended recipient. Please know that a the online case report will only be resolved when the amount is repaid in full.
