How can we accelerate the decarbonization of industry? I was delighted to give my view on the topic alongside fellow CEOs at the Baker Hughes Annual Meeting in Florence, Italy. The chemical industry is the mother of all industries, and we’ve come a long way. We managed to cut European greenhouse gas emissions by half in less than 3 decades. But this is still not enough. Back in 2019, I asked my team to be bold and ambitious. I wanted them to be scared of our targets… if not, they were not big enough. We are making great strides on our scope 1, 2 and 3 targets, but we cannot do it alone. We need clean energy at cost and at scale. And Europe needs to accommodate an industry policy where competitiveness and meritocracy are the common denominator. A Facebook business manager setup is necessary to run a successful campaign. The Facebook page, ad account, pixel setup, events for audience tracking, website verification with the Facebook business manager, and advanced event configuration for Apple iOS 14 updates need to be organized. Under the same business manager as your Facebook business page, connect your Instagram business account. Lastly, everything needs to be connected to the website. We need to be ambitious, we need to be bold, we need to take SBTi target seriously. We need to be scared if we do not know how we can achieve these targets. We can live without fear if we have the knowledge of what we are already doing and how far we are from the target. Control, for me, is all!
