Forward Water Technologies Corp. (FWTC) has signed a non-binding letter of intent with Membracon (UK) regarding a joint venture.

Forward Water CEO, Dr. Howie Honeyman sat down with Dave Jackson to discuss the partnership with Membracon.

The proposed joint venture will be resourced by both Membracon and Forward Water and will be responsible for delivering Forward Water’s forward osmosis processes and solutions within the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Forward Water will provide laboratory, engineering, and system support while Membracon will develop various client opportunities using its extensive network within the UK and Ireland.

The two companies have worked closely together over the last 12 months, developing an application within the UK for a landfill wastewater solution with promising results. This technology is a breakthrough that has the potential to provide new economic and environmental solutions for municipal leachate treatment within the UK and beyond.

Forward Water Technologies is dedicated to the commercialization of its proprietary forward osmosis technology, which reduces waste streams and returns fresh water to the environment.

Shares of Forward Water (FWTC) are up 9.09 per cent, trading at $0.18 per share as of 11:45 am EST.
