A team of Otis colleagues have successfully cycled from our UK headquarters in London to our Paris office, an impressive 279km! The crew was raising money for Guide Dogs for the Blind, with the aim of reaching the target needed to name a guide dog puppy ‘Otis,’ then follow its journey to becoming a working dog, supporting a blind or partially sighted person to live independently. Cyclist Erhan Yap, an Otis Technical Manager, commented: “I left home with my bike on Friday morning, and by the following afternoon, I was just yards from the Eiffel Tower. The thought of raising money for guide dogs kept us motivated, and seeing the Eiffel Tower at the end of the ride was a big 'wow' moment that made every moment of effort worth it." A big congratulations to those who took part in the cycle ride, raising money for a great cause. And thank you to Tango and Cath for visiting us at our Leicester office! 🐶 #WeAreOtis

We’re focusing on exciting ideas and designs for elevator cabs that are new to the industry – and exploring how to bring them to life for our customers. The Otis Shanghai Lead Design Center (LDC) development recently unveiled the Otis Smart Cab elevator that leverages the latest in-cabin technology displays, features and aesthetics to enhance the passenger experience. 🏃🏃🏼♀ Springtime is running time in Central Europe! In recent weeks, our teams have participated in several runs, many of which supported charitable causes: 📍 In Berlin, Germany, our colleagues joined the country's largest women's run to show support for cancer patients. Additionally, we took part in the so-called "sportiest team event" in Berlin: the 5 x 5 kilometer team relay. 📍 In Bratislava, Slovakia, our team gave their best at the "National Run" from Devín Castle to the center of Bratislava. 📍 In Austria, our runners participated in the "Wings for Life Run," with the entry fees benefiting spinal cord research. 📍 In Czech Republic, we are proud to take part in the "Run for the Remembrance of Nations", lasting the entire month of May, to raise funds for documenting eyewitness accounts of the country's history.
