Extended Warranty on Air Purifiers - Protecting Your Investment

Some of our most common investments such as a car, a phone, or our home need warranties. We want to know that the product that we spend our hard-earned money on is protected. That is why we offer extended warranties that begin after the manufacturer’s warranties expires on the air purifiers even if you do not buy the air purifier directly from us. As long as your manufacturer’s warranty doesn’t expire in the next 60 days, you are able to purchase an extended warranty and protect your investment. Investments come in all shapes and sizes, but an investment that has a direct impact on your health and your family’s health is the most important in our eyes. We don’t want to leave you unprotected even for just a short amount of time.

At first, when we tell our clients about this offer, they think we misspoke or that there is a catch. Thankfully, not only are we telling the truth about these extended warranties, but also there is no catch at all. We are happy to be partnered with Extend (EW) to offer protection on your investment. We offer warranties even for air purifiers that you didn’t buy from us. Yes, you read that right. Let’s say you buy a unit such as but not limited to Airpura, AllerAir, or Molekule air purifier from another store (online or brick & mortar) and your current warranty is coming to an end on that air purifier. Instead of just being out of luck, you can tell us what unit you have, and you can purchase a 1,2, or 3-year warranty for a minimal charge.

Our clients find it so refreshing to be able to have that sense of security that if their hundred(s) dollar air purifier breaks unexpectedly, they can reach out to EW who then gives our clients store credit to replace the unit. If the unit you purchased is no longer available or discontinued, no problem! You can purchase a different air purifier using store credit to fit your needs. Our number one priority is clean air and healthy living for you and your family just like our motto says, “Clean Air Everywhere”. If your air purifier breaks or is damaged, this makes receiving clean air that much more difficult.

To sign up and purchase your extended warranty you simply go HERE (https://www.usairpurifiers.com/get_warranty.html) and enter your purifier details. We will verify eligibility and contact you to finalize your protection plan.

When you can protect your investment and know that you will be reimbursed with store credit in full if your purifier breaks while it is under the EW you can rest assured. In a world where prices seem to be skyrocketing, the idea having the funds to replace your air purifier shouldn’t have to be your concern. However, to be able to know that you can replace your air purifier even in 2 or 3 years from now helps you have the peace of mind that this investment is only going to benefit you. The air purifiers we carry, especially ones such as BetterAir, Ideal, and Molekule have unique capabilities including smart technology and probiotic air purification that make these air purifiers wanting to be used for years (as all purifiers should be). To make sure your air purifier lasts longer, check out our extended warranty program here (https://www.usairpurifiers.com/get_warranty.html).  Purchase the extended warranty and have peace of mind knowing your investment is protected.

Please Note: The Extend Warranty begins once the manufacturer’s warranty expires.  However, it needs to be purchased with 60 days left on the manufacturer’s warranty as a minimum to allow for processing.

Airpura Air Purifiers Shopping Guide in 2024

Airpura is one of the leading brands for residential and commercial air purifiers in the United States and Canada. If you have considered ordering an Airpura air purifier, you may have realized there are many options and may not know what is best for you. You may recall a prior blog we wrote, "Airpura Air Purifier for the Right Needs" that discussed what each part of the names meant as well as the air purifiers’ strengths to help readers determine the best unit for their needs.

Although it may appear random at first glance, Airpura names their air purifiers with intention.

Please Note: The tips shown below are a general rule of thumb, just like with the English language, there are exceptions to the Rule of Thumb. If you still have questions after reading our tips, we highly recommend you call us at US Air Purifiers to ensure you choose the best purifier for your needs.

The Breakdown

?

Airpura F600

The Letter in Airpura’s Air Purifier- Purpose and Carbon Type

Above is a picture of the nomenclature for one of Airpura’s air purifiers, the F600. One of the first things you may notice when shopping for Airpura air purifiers are what looks like random letters at the front followed by a set of numbers. Airpura has a wide variety of air purifiers including the Airpura R600, Airpura I600, Airpura V600, and more. The letter following “Airpura” has two purposes: the first being to designate the function of the unit and the second being to identify the type of carbon. This is generally meant to designate the use of that air purifier. We say generally because air purifiers have different configurations and can be changed to best fit your needs. In the case of the Airpura F600, the F is to designate the configuration’s specialty in purifying the air of formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is most common in mobile or manufactured homes, RVs, or mechanic shops. Items that you may not suspect include new carpet, new woodwork, and new furniture also produce formaldehyde. It is especially important to get air purifiers when the formaldehyde is contained and has little air flow. For a full list of what the letters designate, I’d recommend you visit our blog that I mentioned previously located here. Below are a few of Airpura’s most common letters as well as what type of carbon is generally fitted to each unit type.

  • F - series is most common for formaldehyde and is impregnated with potassium permanganate
  • V - series is most common for VOCs and is impregnated with potassium iodide
  • R - series is most common for whole home/regular use standard activated carbon
  • I - series includes no carbon which means it is solely HEPA

Airpura F600

The First Number in Airpura’s Air Purifier- Motor

The first number that follows the letter refers to the motor. As of February 2024, Airpura has 3 motor series: the 4, 6, and 7-series motors. As you might imagine, the higher the motor number, the more powerful the motor. You may be wondering why would I choose a less powerful air purifier motor? Most common reason for a client to choose a less powerful motor like the 4-series over the 7-series is for budget or space reasons. A less powerful air purifier motor can also be for smaller places or if your area has less contamination. This is why the Airpura R400 is a common model for all-purpose use. The Airpura 7-series motors are the most powerful motors of Airpura’s motors currently.

Contrary to what one may think, the 7-series motor is both more powerful and quieter than the 6-series motors. If budget and space allow, we typically recommend going with the largest motor, the 7-series, because you can always turn a unit down but you cannot add power to a unit once it is made. The one exception to this is if you have to choose between 1 high powered unit like a 7-series or 2 smaller units like the 4-series spaced out in separate locations in your home, the two smaller units are preferred because the air coverage realm is greater.

Airpura F600

The Last Two Numbers in Airpura’s Air Purifier- HEPA

When shopping for Airpura air purifiers, there are three types of HEPA filters. They are the following, going from lowest to greatest filtration:

-HEPA Barrier: Filters as small as 1 Micron

-Medical Grade (also known to as true HEPA): Filters 99.97% at 0.3 Microns

-Super HEPA (also known as micro HEPA): Filters 99.99% at 0.1 Microns

The HEPA Barrier, although will be shown as “00”, is only used when 26 lbs of carbon are used due to space restrictions. This “00” with the Barrier is one of those exceptions to the rule of thumb that I mentioned earlier. In this article, we are focusing on the particulate filtration of a HEPA and an 18 lb carbon canister so I will not go into great detail regarding the barrier.

The purpose of the HEPA is to filter any airborne particles such as mold, pollen, dust, pet dander, or even smaller particles including bacteria or viruses depending on their size. With Airpura’s air purifiers, you will see “00” or “14” (Airpura F600, Airpura F614, etc) referencing the type of HEPA filtration. The “00” refers to a medical grade HEPA that can filter 99.97% of microns at 0.3 or larger. As particles begin to gather on the HEPAs’ fibers, the HEPA will be able to trap smaller and smaller particles overtime.

The “14” refers to a Super HEPA. Although the “00” and the “14” are both pleated HEPA filters, the “14” is more tightly woven so it can trap a smaller micron level at a higher percentage than the “00” HEPA. The “14” refers to a tightly woven medical grade Super HEPA that can filter 99.99% of microns at 0.1 or larger. The Super HEPA is often used for individuals who are extremely sensitive to particulate matter or immunocompromised and want viruses trapped faster when they first begin using the unit. Overtime, the medical grade HEPA will begin to trap those smaller microns too.

Now that we have broken down each part of the Airpura air purifier, this should help narrow your search. As we mentioned before and will continue to mention, if you have any doubts or want to ensure you choose the absolute best air purifier for your needs, whether it be Airpura air purifiers, Molekule air purifiers, IDEAL Pro Units, etc, we recommend you consult with one of our experts. Air purifiers are investments and it is vital to choose the best units for you.

Respiray Personal Air Purifier: Clean Air, Anywhere

While technologies have improved and evolved over the decades, the basic concept of an air purifier as a static indoor unit has remained the same. Needless to say, this approach to air purification works extremely well and is the best choice for supplying clean air to entire indoor spaces.

The Respiray Wear A+ Personal Air Purifier is a wearable unit that hangs comfortably around the user's neck and provides protection wherever you happen to be. Featuring a HEPA filter, this unit is a good solution for allergy and asthma protection, as well as for protecting yourself from certain types of air pollution.

How Does the Respirary Wear Personal Air Purifier Work?

The Respiray Wear A+ is a small HEPA air purifier that draws air in and then directs it upward through the unit's filter. The result is a cloud of clean, filtered air that is constantly supplied to the area immediately around the user's nose and mouth. By breathing this cleaner air, users can reduce their likelihood of inhaling dust, dander, pollen, germs and various particles.

Because of its HEPA filter, the Respiray A+ is able to remove up to 99.9 percent of airborne allergens. In clinical tests, the device has been proven to reduce allergy symptoms more than most anti-allergen drugs and has outperformed all other devices that don't directly cover the mouth or nose.

This unit can also help to provide protection from particulate pollution. Critically, this includes fine particulates produced by vehicle exhaust. These fine particles are among the most dangerous types of air pollution, and the Respiray A+'s ability to target them is arguably one of its most useful features.

The wearable air purifier is powered by a safe lithium-ion battery that can last for up to 8 hours on a single charge. The HEPA filter is good for up to 200 hours and is easily replaceable. The unit can be run on a high or low setting, depending on whether you are stationary or moving.

Where and How to Use the Respiray A+

The Respiray A+ is an excellent option for those suffering from allergies, asthma or other respiratory conditions that are aggravated by airborne contaminants. Whether used on its own for allergy relief or as an extra layer of protection in a home that already includes an air purifier, this wearable unit can help you breathe cleaner, healthier air in any indoor setting. Because it's so portable, the unit is also great for protection while driving, in the office or while otherwise away from home.

Because of the nature of the device, the Respiray Wear A+ does have a few limitations that users should know about. The most important of these is the fact that the device's effectiveness is diminished in outdoor environments, especially on windy days. While the personal air purifier can still provide some protection outdoors, the greater level of air flow created by wind and air currents make it more difficult for the unit to maintain the protective cloud around the user's face.

This unit also doesn't feature a carbon filter, meaning that it can't remove odors or VOCs from the air. For these purposes, it's best to use a traditional home air purifier. You can find several great options for targeting gases and odors in the home or office here.

Have more questions about the Respiray Wear A+ and whether it's the right choice for you? We're here to help! Feel free to contact us for answers and personalized product recommendations based on your unique needs.

Air Purifier Maintenance: The Key to Optimal Filtration

While air purifiers can often run for months without needing your attention, most of them aren't entirely maintenance-free. Any air purifier with an internal filter will require at least an occasional filter change. Although it may seem like a small matter, changing the filters in your air purifier at the right time is a key aspect of getting the cleanest air possible in your home.

As filters age, they can gradually become filled with contaminants. This is especially true of HEPA filters, which capture solid particles in a filter medium. Over time, the filter will have less and less capacity to capture new impurities, causing it to gradually become less effective. When this happens, your air purifier may struggle to deliver clean air as it should.

When to Change Your Filters

Unfortunately, there's no standard schedule for air purifier filter changes. Some manufacturers recommend changing filters once a year, while others may recommend every six months. Some filters can even go multiple years between changes. Ultimately, the proper filter maintenance schedule depends on the type of filter and the manufacturer. To find the correct schedule for your air purifier, consult and follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer in your air purifier owner's manual.

Adding to the potential confusion is the fact that many air purifiers today have multiple filters. An air purifier with a prefilter, a HEPA filter and a carbon filter may require changes at three entirely different intervals. This makes it even more important to carefully track your filter changes to stay in line with the schedule recommended by the manufacturer.

Checking Your Air Purifier's Performance With an Indoor Air Quality Monitor

Another great way to make sure you're getting the most out of your air purifier is to use an indoor air quality monitor. These devices track the air quality in your home, allowing you to see how well your air purifier is performing. With an air quality monitor, you can be sure that your air purifier is doing its job and easily see decreases in air quality that may indicate that your filter is no longer functioning as it should. Some of our top indoor air quality monitors are listed below:

The Simple Way to Keep Track of Your Maintenance Schedule

With most air purifiers only needing occasional filter changes, it's easy to let maintenance slip your mind. Luckily, there's an easy solution in the form of our Filter Change Reminder tool! With this simple tool, you can register your air purifier and receive email reminders uniquely targeted to its maintenance schedule. This tool also allows you to register multiple air purifiers, making it simple to track filter changes even if you have several different units.

Introducing the Airpura 400 Series

Airpura is among the most popular home air purifier brands we sell here at US Air Purifiers LLC. One very frequent request we receive, however, is for the power of Airpura in small, affordable format. We're pleased to say that we can finally deliver exactly that, thanks to the new Airpura 400 series! These small, powerful air purifiers are just right for single rooms and even small apartments. Here's what you should know about the 400 series air purifiers and how they can help you breathe cleaner air.

Airpura R400: An All-purpose Air Purifier for Smaller Spaces

The Airpura R400 is a general-purpose air purifier capable of performing up to 2 air changes per hour in spaces of up to 1,000 square feet. The R400 features both a high-quality HEPA filter for particulate contaminants and an 8-pound activated carbon filter for gases and VOCs. Together, these filters allow the R400 to target most common household contaminants, including dust, dander, pollen, mold spores, chemicals, unpleasant odors and even gaseous organic compounds. The R400 can even be upgraded with an extra-powerful HEPA filter for an additional $35.

Despite its impressive filtering capabilities, the Airpura R400 is also a surprisingly quiet air purifier. Operating at just 32 decibels on low and 52 on high, the R400 helps to keep the air in your room clean without creating an irritating background noise. This makes the R400 a great choice for offices, bedrooms, dorm rooms, nurseries and other small spaces where a quiet environment is crucial.

Another key benefit of the R400 is its small size. Even with an 8-pound carbon filter and 40-foot HEPA filter inside it, the entire unit is just 15.5 inches high by 12 inches wide. Thanks to its small size, the R400 can fit comfortably in practically any space.

The R400 delivers excellent air flow. This unit is capable of moving 50 cubic feet of air per minute on its lowest setting. At medium and high, this increases to 140 and 283 CFM, respectively. Even on its highest setting, however, the R400's power usage caps out at a modest 69 watts.

Finally, the Airpura R400 is a low-maintenance air purifier that requires only occasional filter changes. The prefilter should be washed every 3-6 months and changed every 6-12 months. The activated carbon canister, however, can last for as long as 2 years. The HEPA filter has even more impressive lasting power, as it can last for as long as 5 years before needing to be changed.

We recommend the R400 for general-purpose air purification. Those who suffer from asthma or allergies or who simply want cleaner, healthier air can benefit from the small but powerful unit.

Airpura V400: Stepped-up Protection From Gases, Odors and VOCs

As good as the R400 is, it may not be powerful enough for those suffering from severe chemical sensitivities, severe asthma symptoms or other serious respiratory conditions. This is where the Airpura V400 comes into play. Like the R400, the V400 is equipped with a 40-square foot HEPA filter. In the V400, however, you'll find an enhanced activated carbon filter designed to provide even more protection against chemicals and VOSs.

The V400 is capable of targeting specific chemicals that are known to aggravate respiratory conditions. The V400 also offers an enhanced air dwell time, giving the activated carbon more time to adsorb airborne chemicals. Impressively, the unit does not sacrifice air flow in order to achieve this higher dwell time, and the V400 can still perform 2 air changes per hour in spaces of up to 1,000 square feet.

Beyond this, the V400 provides all of the same basic benefits of the R400. Small size, quiet operation and minimal maintenance are all part of the vale proposition of this small, chemical-specific air purifier.
