John Deere Accelerates Manufacturing Innovation With Private 5G   I recently toured two John Deere facilities in the heart of the American Midwest. The company traces its roots back to 1837, when its namesake, a blacksmith, developed the first self-scouring steel plow, which revolutionized farming at the time. Fast-forward almost 190 years, and John Deere continues to innovate on many fronts.   Visiting the company’s Tractor & Engine Museum and its 5G-connected factory—both in Waterloo, Iowa—were eye-opening experiences. Private 5G lands starring role among broadcasters   North American video networking company Haivision declared mobile as in vogue among broadcasters, with regular research showing strong interest in 5G along with compatible private networks.   A survey of 800 broadcast executives conducted between October and December 2023 showed mobile technologies are the second-most popular means of network transport after the internet.   The company stated 60 per cent of broadcasters are already using 3G, 4G or 5G “for live video contribution”, compared with 80 per cent employing internet connectivity.   https://lnkd.in/dbJVApkk   Amplitech Group, Inc. Quantum Computing Breakthrough: Scientists Develop New Photonic Approach That Works at Room Temperature   Quantum computing is advancing, with giants like Google and IBM providing services, yet challenges remain due to insufficient qubits and their susceptibility to external influences, requiring complex entanglement for reliable results. Photonic approaches offer room temperature operation and faster speeds, but face loss issues; however, a novel method demonstrated by researchers uses laser pulses to create inherently error-correcting logical qubits, simplifying quantum computing but still needing improvements in error tolerance.   Low noise amplifiers (LNAs) are essential and used in the processing of the qubit information. The lower the noise figure, the better the fidelity of the qubits.
