  • Only one in ten people in Britain are familiar with the Sustainable Development Goals.   Together, we can raise awareness of the Goals and accelerate action to tackle poverty, advance gender equality, promote climate action, and more.   In partnership with Teemill Tech Ltd, we are spreading the word about the SDGs, all while employing innovative and circular production practices.   Get your SDG T-shirt now➡️ https://lnkd.in/eTvcyRMj   #TheFutureIChoose #SDGs #Agenda2030

  • ✅ That’s a wrap on our third SDG Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals camp of 2024. Over two days, our Innovators started developing solutions to their #SDG business challenge in their first Solution Labs.   💡 SDG Solution Concept Generation   Our Innovators learned about different design thinking ideation tools and methodologies and how these can be applied to their SDG business challenge. They will work to generate solution concept ideas using breakthrough mindset, business models, and technologies.   💡 SDG Solution Concept Validation and Selection   Using concept validation and selection methods, participants objectively assessed their previously generated list of concepts and chose a number of those to take forward.     💡 SDG Solution Concept Agreement   The last part of the day involved designing ‘pretotypes’ to test the solutions. ‘Pretotyping’ helps evaluate the feasibility of the solution, present ideas to stakeholders, reduce risk, iterate with lower costs, and create pre-experiences for target users.   Thank you to Impact for facilitating an interactive and insightful session, and Duke Corporate Education for hosting us.   Find out more about the programme here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dTgYTghC   #SDGI24

  • Companies are increasingly being called on to disclose their climate policy engagement activities, with expectations formalised across a range of initiatives such as Climate Action 100+, the Global Standard on Responsible Climate Lobbying, the Transition Plan Taskforce framework – and more.   Despite this, reporting on corporate advocacy activities remains low and often lacks the depth and transparency to convey the full scope of influence that a company might have on the policy environment.   Join us next Wednesday for our ‘Engaging in Corporate Climate Advocacy: Disclosing to Stakeholders’ webinar to learn how the climate advocacy disclosures landscape is evolving and the steps that businesses can take to improve their reporting practices to meet stakeholder expectations.   Guest speakers include Dylan Tanner from InfluenceMap, Nigel Brook from Clyde & Co, Catherine Ogden from Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), and Fiona Duggan from Unilever.   Find out more and register here: https://bit.ly/4bfl91W   #ClimateAdvocacy #NetZero #ClimateAction

  • In our latest ‘Net Zero Business Transformation’ webinar we explored what it means to set a ‘transformative agenda’, acknowledging that ambitious net zero targets can only be achieved through authentically building sustainability into the purpose of a business.   Thanks to Kate Wolfenden at 103 Ventures for articulating this need, and to our brilliant speakers Jamie Rusby at VELUX and Fiona Ball at Sky whose experiences demonstrated what it takes to plan and execute transformative change across a whole business.   💡 Key insights from the session on how businesses can set a transformative agenda:   1️⃣ ‘Transformational change’ needs to flow from the company to the systems level – Build this scale into the agenda by starting with an internal mindset shift then focus on target setting, public commitments, and strategic advocacy for wider sectoral change.   2️⃣ Executive buy-in is critical for transformation – Executives, Board members, and investors must be equipped with the right knowledge and data to make decisions that support the long-term transition.   3️⃣ Build capacity and capability across the organisation – All business units are part of the puzzle: hiring new talent, building sustainability expertise across critical teams, and setting KPIs accordingly will bring targets closer.   4️⃣ Think systemically about the wider impacts of decarbonisation – A transformative carbon reduction plan should be built within the context of broader environmental sustainability to harness win-win solutions and generate momentum for action.   You can view the recording and sign up for the next sessions here: https://lnkd.in/dhTFbEpz   #NZBT2024 #Transformation #NetZero #BusinessModel #ClimateAction
