Using cutting-edge facial recognition technology alongside advanced face mapping algorithm, and leveraging the unparalleled capabilities of Malaysia's most powerful 5G network, we have created Project iContact. A prototype software, designed for INMO Air 2 Glasses, that projects soothing images around people's faces, enabling children in the spectrum to maintain facial focus and, over time, make these powerful connections more natural for them.
Facial focus is crucial for anyone's development, but children with autism struggle with it.
A series of visual stimuli have been created.
And more are on the way.
Soothing images offer comfort and stability to individuals on the autism spectrum, reducing sensory overload and anxiety. They provide a calming effect, aiding in emotional regulation and focus while serving as a non-verbal way to communicate emotions or thoughts in overwhelming environments.
The smart glasses use human faces as markers.
And intuitively activates the soothing visuals when it identifies the markers.
The visuals are then projected around the face of the person the user is talking to.
Helping them to maintain facial focus.
Made open source for open minds
With the growing popularity and affordability of smart glasses, Project iContact has been made open source, enabling more brands to adopt and build their own versions.
