HBCU Cybersecurity Program Structure & Overview

PROPEL HBCU Cybersecurity Consortium (HCC), in partnership with Southern Company, fosters collaboration between academia, industry, and government to close the cybersecurity skills gap and cultivate a diverse pipeline of highly skilled professionals equipped to address and solve the evolving cybersecurity needs of today and tomorrow.
 

The consortium will feature a resource and knowledge-sharing hub, advanced and ongoing training, and accelerated learning opportunities to help further prepare HBCU students and faculty for the ever-evolving cybersecurity industry. It combines ongoing training and education resources and is comprised of representatives from HBCUs with current cybersecurity curriculums and related industry coursework.

Empowering Tomorrow's Cyber Leaders

The HBCU Cybersecurity Consortium enhances student readiness with an industry-informed curriculum, connecting the global cybersecurity industry directly to highly qualified talent emerging from HBCUs nationwide. 

HBCU Cybersecurity Fellows Program

The HBCU Cybersecurity Fellows Program (HCFP) is as a key program of the Learning Innovation Center, designed to upskill HBCU faculty in cybersecurity.

HBCU CyberChat

The HBCU CyberChat is a virtual speaker series designed to enhance the cybersecurity knowledge and awareness of students, faculty, and industry professionals within PROPEL’s HBCU Cybersecurity Consortium.
