When I left PepsiCo to found Talent Sprout (many years ago now!) I remember a concern that I would miss being a part of something bigger - that by stepping outside of a corporate role, I was forgoing a sense of connection to a brand, an organisation, a shared purpose.
That concern turned out to be unfounded.
Over the years I’ve built longstanding partnerships with clients who have trusted me with the vision and strategy for their organisation, and who have made me feel like an extended part of the team.
Earlier this week, I spent a day with Mulberry. Five years on from my first piece of work with Mulberry, I continue to enjoy coaching leaders and teams within the business, and I continue to enjoy a strong sense of connection to the Mulberry brand.
After facilitating a team day, I was invited to join in with a craft experience, working with some of the beautiful leather from which Mulberry’s bags are created. Surrounded by Mulberry products and breathing in the smell of the leather, I made a bracelet. It may not be perfect (eek!) but it’s a one of a kind, and it’s a representation of a valued client partnership.

It was a pleasure having Shannon Garcia join us and share her story at this year's Leadership Conference. Truly inspiring!
