Jacob plans to sell his primary products directly to hospitals B2B, but he also has pipeline B2C products for children outside of hospitals to enhance and customize their independent learning, literacy, and mental stimulation.

Shira Cohen, NY
High School Senior

Shira Cohen saw a gap in the student rental market and decided to create College Homes as a preferable solution for both students seeking convenient near-campus housing and landlords who own campus-centric properties. College Homes’ partnerships and student perks make it a great option over other rental marketplaces and cut down on landlord advertising spend.

Ethan Chow, CA
High School Junior

Ethan Chow developed Healthy Food Connector with the goal of addressing the food deficit problem and little-known food desserts that occur right now in the US, which result in tens of millions of hungry families. Ethan has both a B2B software product and a B2C physical product that helps improve the convenient access of nutritious food to those in need.

B2B and B2C Video Editing, Branding, Consulting, and
Marketing Service for Content Creators and Brands

YF Visuals
by Justin Leusner

Justin Leusner had his fair share of experience with video editing, production, branding, and building a social media following by the time he reached high school; however, during his junior year, he decided he wanted to build a scalable, high margin business that leveraged his skill set and network, without relying upon his own audience. Justin did just that in creating YF Visuals as a B2B and B2C service, offering everything from video editing to branding and full-service content creation, planning, and marketing. Within a few months of launching, YF Visuals had landed large recurring clients and has an aggressive, but achievable client acquisition plan, which has so far resulted in hundreds of client videos produced, garnering millions of views already. The vast majority of YF Visuals clients remain clients for a minimum of six months and result in over $2k in average total customer lifetime value, though Justin will have to see if that LTV increases as his company continues, since they’re still early on and have seen great traction, growth, and customer retention.

B2B Shopper Safety Innovation Product
(for cleaner, safer in-store shopping)

CG Innovations
by Cara Gosin

When the pandemic struck in 2020, Cara Gosin decided to be the change she wanted to see in the world and to do her part to help people and businesses maintain as much normalcy as possible. With her company, CG Innovations, Cara has developed an innovative, eco-friendly B2B shopping cart handlebar cover product to make in-store shopping safer, cleaner, and more convenient. This product aims to lower the risk and anxiety associated with shopping in-store and subsequently to increase in-store foot traffic and brick-and-mortar sales. CG Innovations creates both B2B and pipeline B2C products to enhance customer safety, cleanliness, and convenience, and Cara has plans to broaden her product implementation to schools, communal living areas, and individual residences. Cara’s primary product would incorporate perpetual recurring monthly revenue and has the opportunity to expand to chains across the US, as well as throughout the world for exponential growth potential.

B2B (and B2C) AI and Facial Recognition-based
Software Solutions Improve Safety and Security

Software Infinity
by Krish Chaudhary

Krish’s software company, Software Infinity, is creating a suite of both B2B and B2C products to offer enhanced safety, security, automation, and convenience for a wide variety of industries, as well as in schools, hospitals, and for individual use cases, like home security and lane-line detection. Software Infinity’s primary product is an artificial intelligence-powered facial recognition software to maintain social distancing and accurate contact tracing to enable businesses, schools, and hospitals to operate safely and efficiently, amidst the pandemic and social distancing requirements. However, Software Infinity has a handful of other B2B and B2C pipeline products, including an automatic attendance system, enhanced bank security, home security (B2C), lane-line detection (either B2B or B2C) and more.

B2B (and partly B2C) Beehive Installation Invention to
Mitigate Mite Infestations and their Destruction

HiveGuard
by Raina Jain

Raina Jain has been studying and researching beehives and the varroa mite infestation problem for years, and with HiveGuard, she’s invented a convenient, effective product to prevent the parasitic mite infestations and help the honeybee population flourish. Her initial product (the HiveGuard entryway) is currently undergoing beta testing at three different beekeeper locations, and Raina is also working on R&D for an upcoming pipeline product, a mite-killer gel to be reapplied to the entryway on a monthly basis, so customers do not need to reinstall a new entryway each month. Both her products would result in perpetual recurring monthly revenue, and Raina plans to begin selling her primary product in the next few months (she launched to over 4,000 preorders earlier this fall).

B2C and B2B Food Tracking and Restaurant
Preference App + Social Network

Sizzle
by Zach Schiller

Zach discovered a gap in the seemingly crowded restaurant and food-related app space, as well as a robust and high margin opportunity to capitalize on this new type of app. Zach’s app, Sizzle, is perfect for picky eaters, those with dietary restrictions, those with a short-term memory in regards to their favorite menu items, and people planning group meal outings and deliveries. Sizzle incorporates five revenue streams, split between B2C and B2B, and offers even free users a great new option for meal tracking, order planning, and food and restaurant rating and recommendations. The social networking component of Sizzle makes the app unique, while also encouraging increased daily use and a higher level of user engagement. This social aspect increases the likely value of the user base (for B2B sales, including ad revenue and user data), since these users will be interacting with restaurants, the app, and each other, as well as providing detailed information about their menu and restaurant preferences.

B2B Hospital Product Customized for
Children Enduring Extended Inpatient Stays

Puzzles for Patients
by Jacob Fleishman

Jacob Fleishman is all too familiar with the experience of being a kid in a hospital; after his own experience with a long-term hospital stay, Jacob realized the significant toll that was placed on a child’s mental health during their time in the hospital. Jacob decided to tackle the boredom, pessimism, and lack of engagement most sick children and those in extended hospital stays feel by creating a customized, engaging, educational product to improve child patients’ mental health and get them through the weeks or months of confinement. Puzzles for Patients creates customized puzzle books, based around a child’s interests, hobbies, and preferences. Puzzles for Patients provides a positive and unique keepsake for children in hospitals, as well as a solution to keep them engaged, upbeat, and mentally stimulated.

B2B and B2C Campus-Centric Real Estate
Marketplace Hub for Landlords and College Students

College Homes
by Shira Cohen

With many college-aged cousins struggling to find near-campus convenient, affordable housing and a family with careers in the real estate industry, Shira Cohen was privy to the large underserved market of college students (and graduate students) who don’t want to live in dorms or in sorority or fraternity houses. This group of students wanted nice, convenient (walkable to campus), affordable rentals, ideally on a university term schedule. Shira created College Homes as a student-focused near-campus rental marketplace to connect those landlords with attractive campus-centric properties and students seeking nearby housing. College Homes’ partnerships with student-focused companies (like Koofers, Quizlet, and StudentRate) make it a preferable student rental marketplace, and landlords receive the benefit of immediate access to the ideal target market for their near-campus properties, without spending a dime on advertising.

B2B (and B2C) Software and Physical Products for More
Streamlined, Nutritious Food Distribution to the Hungry

Healthy Food Connector
by Ethan Chow

Ethan Chow started learning about our nation’s significant hunger and food allocation problem in high school, and he was struck by the glaring inefficiencies in the food distribution system. An exorbitant amount of food waste occurs every day in America, while families and children go hungry and lack proper nutrition, and the number suffering from hunger is in the tens of millions. Ethan developed Healthy Food Connector as a tech-enabled solution, combining efficient automation software, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics, supplemented by a team of nutritionists to ensure the most efficient, effective, nutritious food allocation to those in need. Ethan also created a B2C garden farming kit product to help spread awareness about the hunger problems and food desserts in our country and get the general public involved in helping address this issue with their own backyard gardening, having recognized that gardening is actually a growing field in the US.

B2C (and B2B) Interactive Financial Education and
Training Hub for Adolescents, Teens, and Schools

Financial Learning Academy
by Reed Paltrowitz

By the time he entered high school, Reed Paltrowitz was frustrated with the lack of personal finance knowledge his traditional education had afforded him. Being a self-motivated go-getter with a genuine interest in learning about savings, budgeting, investing, credit, and more, Reed sought out this information from his parents and through independent research. However, most young people these days don’t seek out this information or even realize what knowledge they’re lacking until it’s too late. Reed has created Financial Learning Academy or FLA to address this problem by offering an educational, engaging, entertaining, and interactive suite of games, quizzes, videos, articles, and more on his FLA website and app to equip adolescents and teens with a robust personal finance skill set. FLA has a wide variety of B2C and B2B revenue streams, with the majority of expected revenue coming in the form of B2B ad revenue for finance-related products and services geared towards adolescents and teens.

B2C Music Business Education, Networking, and
Consulting Service for Aspiring Independent Artists

Bops Biz Breakout
by Maddie Novak

Maddie Novak experienced firsthand the difficulties of breaking into the traditional music and entertainment industry, making it all the way to auditions on American Idol and The Voice and building a network of industry connections. Maddie decided to create Bops Biz Breakout as an educational and networking product to help aspiring independent artists see the clear path to creating marketable music, building a following and platform on which to monetize that music (everything from playing local gigs to live virtual concerts for fans all over the world), and obtaining the necessary connections to break into the industry successfully. Bops Biz Breakout capitalizes on the growing indie artist space, which has seen notable recent successes from indie-turned-mainstream artists like Billie Eilish, proving that the traditional gatekeepers to the entertainment industry are no longer the only way in.

B2C Artificial Intelligence-Powered Trading Indicator
and Pipeline Trading Bot for Independent Investors

FGI AI
by Varun Muthu

Varun’s interest in and success with investing made him wonder if there was a more efficient way to make smart buy-hold-sell trading decisions. He found himself spending an exorbitant amount of time on research and studying charts, when he figured there had to be a better, faster way. Varun teamed up with two peers and together they created FGI AI, the artificial intelligence-powered trading indicator offered by their company, Focus Group Investments. FGI AI works for a wide variety of asset classes (commodities, stocks, forex, etc.), and they’ve seen great results (in terms of maximizing investor gains and minimizing losses), as well as impressive traction, growth, and customer retention upon releasing the indicator on a subscription basis. They also have a pipeline product that is currently being beta tested, and if all goes well, they will soon release the trading bot product, which will also provide a source of recurring revenue. FGI was able to achieve hundreds of paying recurring subscribers, at an average of $200 user revenue per month, and they’re on track to hit some very impressive financial milestones, as well as impressive user growth rates, thanks to their referral program and the positive results customers have seen with the initial trading indicator.
